Escape In Israel


In 2004 I set out to explore the behaviour and motivation of tourists in Israel in the midst of the second Palestinian intifada. As the project evolved I was drawn more towards the ways in which people transcend the perpetual threat of violence; the cathartic rituals, public and private, religious and secular, that permeate life in Israel.
